Celo was founded in 2014 in New Zealand. Celo is a secure, efficient and user-friendly system that helps connect healthcare professionals wherever they are. Celo has been developed by healthcare professionals from the ground up and has been specially designed to ensure ease of use in a clinical setting.

We want to make their work simpler, more efficient, safer and compliant with the ever-increasing legislative privacy and regulatory requirements. Like all ambitious goals, we can’t do it by ourselves: Celo works closely with our customers, partners, and Government to continually improve our services to our healthcare professional users.

Our platform is used by some of New Zealand’s largest health providers and we are currently expanding into overseas markets. We’re a fast growing start-up, so you need to be willing to roll-up your sleeves and get stuff done. Your role will likely evolve as our company grows. Celo was a finalist in the 2017 NZ Health IT Innovation Awards.


  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • Portfolio of design projects
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Good time-management skills
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemap
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites and apps function
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and image
